Unity is the official FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Theme Song. The theme song for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is composed by the renowned electronic music artist Kelly Lee Owens. The sporting event will be held in Australia & New Zealand from July 20, 2023 through August 20, 2023. The musician/producer creates a celebratory, uplifting and unifying sonic identity that brings together female footballers from all around the world. She has shared a new single track written especially for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 which was out on her Twitter.

 

Kelly Lee Owens said “Our values were completely aligned. They [FIFA] kept using the word epic and I just took that and ran with it and made it as epic and bold as I could,” Owens explained of her vision for the euphoric song.

“‘Unity’ is a song that I put everything I had into it, Rising arpeggios, rising basslines…. It’s led with my voice, but I wanted the sense of community brought in with choirs.” Kelly Lee Owens wrote of the track.

The song was released as a single by Mercury KX (Universal Music).

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is getting bigger and better as there is a 300% hike in prize money compare to 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. It is set to be the biggest edition ever, As the Women’s World Cup Prize Money for this year’s tournament is increased to $152 million.

Even though the $152m Fund for the first 32-teams Women’s World Cup tournament is a huge jump compare to the $30m prize money $20m on tournament preparation and Club benefits for the 24-teams Women’s World Cup edition of 2019, and 10 times what it was in 2015. But still it is only about one-third of the $440m prize money awarded to the Men’s World Cup tournament held in Qatar last year.
