The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualification (Inter-Confederation Play-Offs) took place from 18 to 23 february 2023, The Play-off competition was held to determine the final three qualifying teams for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The tournament featured 10 teams divided into three groups, The winner of each group qualified for the FIFA 2023 Women’s world Cup.

Prior to hosting the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023, New Zealand hosted the play-off competition as a trial event. Ten teams participated in it, which was divided into three groups of three (Groups A and B) or four (Group C). The group winners each earned a spot in the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Based on the FIFA Women’s World Rankings, four teams were seeded into groups. Two unseeded teams from Groups A and B squared off in the semifinals. The semi-final winner moved on to the play-off final to compete against the top-seeded team for a position in the Women’s World Cup. The two seeded teams in Group C faced an unseeded team in the semifinals. The semi-final winners competed against one another in the play-off final for a spot in the Women’s World Cup.

Location Of Play-off Matches

The two location for the play-off tournament were confirmed by FIFA on 4 July 2022. They were Hamilton and Auckland.
