FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 is well-set to become the most attended women’s sporting event in history as FIFA has already sold over 1 million tickets. The Women’s World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand is on track to become the most attended standalone women’s sporting event ever with over one million tickets sold, FIFA said.

Ticket sales for the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand overtook those of the previous edition of the tournament. FIFA President, Gianni Infantino revealed that 10,32,884 tickets have already been sold for the 2023 edition of the tournament, This means that with over one month to go before kick-off, It already surpassed the total number of tickets being sold in the previous edition in France 2019.

The Women’s World Cup 2023 will kick-off on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Eden Park in Auckland/Tamaki Makaurau with the first match of the day will be held between Co-host New Zealand and Norway.

Later the same day, second match will be held between co-host Australia and Republic Of Ireland. Earlier this year, Due to the significant interests in tickets, Australia’s opening fixture was moved to the tournament’s largest stadium i.e. Stadium Australia in Sydney, which has a capacity of more than 100,000.
