In the Game 3 of the NBA Finals, The Denver Nuggets beats Miami Heat by 109-94 at Kaseya Center in Miami on Wednesday night to take a 2-1 lead of the 2023 NBA Finals over the Heat. Nuggets was led by two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, who scored yet another triple-double to take Nuggets to Game 3 win and created even more history as he became the first player ever to log at least 30 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists in an NBA Finals game.
And he didn’t make history alone. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray became the first teammates in NBA Finals history to both record a triple-double in the same game, As Denver’s two stars made sure the Nuggets reclaimed the lead in the series.
“Running out of things to say,” Murray said of Jokic. “He makes the game look easy.”

Nikola Jokic finishes with 32 points, 21 rebounds and 14 assists, While Jamal Murray dropped 34 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and teammate Christian Braun scored 15 points which was a big factor throughout the match which led Nuggets to win over Heat.
On the other hand, For the Heat, Jimmy Butler led the way and scored 28 points, While Adebayo had scored 22 points and 17 rebounds.
“We didn’t play our best tonight,” Butler said. “We got to come out with more energy and effort.”

The Nuggets were leading with 5 points at halftime, While in the 1st quarter the scores are equal as each team score 24 points each. At the end of the third quarter heat were down by 14 points.
Nuggets coach Michael Malone reminded his club of Miami’s penchant for comebacks.
“First two games, they won the fourth quarter,” Malone said. “Tonight, we win the fourth quarter, we win the game.”
In the Last quarter of the game, Nuggets at one point were leading with 21-points but later on Heat made a spirited comeback and trimming the lead to nine points with just minutes remaining.
Officially, Nikola Jokic is now the seventh player to have two triple-doubles in the same NBA Finals. LeBron James and Magic Johnson each did it in three different Finals. Wilt Chamberlain, Draymond Green, Larry Bird and Butler all had one title series with two triple-doubles.

“Regarding Nikola, nothing he does surprises me, ever, The guy has shown over and over again that he’s built for these moments. He thrives on these moments, the biggest stage, and he did that again tonight..” said by coach Micheal Malone.
“Jamal is a guy that thrives, lives and excels in the moment. Never afraid of it and you can’t say that for a lot of players. … Jamal missed our last two postseasons (with a knee injury). He’s been dying to get back to this setting and just go out there and put on the performance that he’s putting on.”
