Canada’s women’s national soccer team edged Ireland 2-1 in a thrilling match on Wednesday, July 26, in Perth, Australia to top Group B of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The win secured Canada’s place in the knockout stage, while Ireland was eliminated from the tournament.

The Olympic champion in their opening match of the tournament were held to a 0-0 draw with Nigeria but they look determined to win today’s game against Ireland.
