This is team’s second championship in four years. The Super Bowl championship is the third for head coach Andy Reid and the second in quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ career.

In order to win Super Bowl 54 in 2020, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs had to come back from a 10-point deficit. As a result, they weren’t afraid when they faced a similar deficit on Sunday night in Arizona.

After the first quarter, the Eagles, who were led by quarterback Jalen Hurts in his first Super Bowl appearance, and the Chiefs, who were led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes in his third appearance, were tied at seven points each.

After the Second quarter, Mahomes was hobbling off the field as the Eagles led the Chiefs 24-14 at the Halftime. He had been battling a severely sprained right ankle and appeared to have made it worse.
