Rihanna is returning to stage at the Super Bowl 2023 as she has agreed to headline the Super Bowl LVII halftime show at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, February 12.

This is the first time we will see Rihanna back in her Live Performance music after her last tour in 2016. During her hiatus from music, she’s grown her Fenty business empire, including her Fenty Beauty makeup line, her Fenty Skin skincare line and her Savage X Fenty lingerie line as well as welcoming her first baby; a boy with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May last year.

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label and entertainment firm partnered with the NFL in 2019 to select entertainers to work with the league, including for the Super Bowl’s halftime. Roc Nation has been a part in organizing the halftime show and is also Rihanna’s management company.

And seeing the teaser the two put out on January 13, it’s going to be quite the spectacle.

In the 30-second clip, the singer appears as a silhouette in a large, empty room. She then begins to walk forward and takes in comments from her fans.

“Dude, Rihanna, we’ve waited for you,” said one voice. Another added, “It’s been six years since the nine-time Grammy-winner dropped an album.”
