Why Do We Celebrate?
Teddy day celebrated across the globe by couples to express their inner feelings towards their love ones by showering gifts in form of soft cuddly and fluffy teddy bear. Apart from expressing romantic feelings towards your beloved. Teddy bear evoke feelings of love and warmth when we hold and hug them. It shows how special they are to us and the warm and lovable feelings they bring to us, just like teddies.
What is the story behind the Teddy bear?
Teddy bears got their name in 1902 after President Theodore Roosevelt. As the story goes, when Collier cornered and stunned a Louisiana black bear for the president’s benefit, Roosevelt refused to shoot the bear. After the incident was publicized nationally in an editorial cartoon, a New York toymakers Morris Michtom in the U.S, and Richard Steiff in Germany, created a stuffed toy they called “Teddy’s bear.”and they were named ‘Teddy bears,’ after President Roosevelt’s pet name.

Teddy bears mean different things depending on their colours.
