On Sunday, it will be one day short of a year since the Cincinnati Bengals overcame an 18-point deficit to beat the Kansas City Chiefs with an overtime field goal in the AFC Championship Game.

Only four NFL teams remain in the hunt for Super Bowl LVII glory. Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, and San Francisco 49ers are the final four teams remaining on the road to Super Bowl LVII in Glendale.

How Chiefs, Bengals reach the AFC Championship Game

With Divisional Round action completed and Conference Championship matchups set to begin on February 3rd, the best is yet to come.

The Bengals went 12-4 to win the AFC North and get the No. 3 seed in the AFC. They beat the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card Round, 24-17 before defeating the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round, 27-10.

The No. 1 seeded Chiefs went 14-3 and had a bye in the first round of the postseason. The Chiefs are coming off a 27-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.

AFC Championship Game Predictions

The Bengals and Chiefs are growing more and more accustomed to one another as they establish themselves among the AFC’s elite teams. Joe Burrow, the Cincinnati Bengals’ under pressure quarterback, went to Buffalo last weekend and defeated the Bills 27-10.

The Bengals enter on a hot streak, having won 10 consecutive games. Despite missing three starting offensive linemen, Burrow continues to slice and dice defenses. Cincy’s defense is an underrated ghoul, capable of slowing any offense, including the Chiefs’ vaunted attack. On the other hand, Kansas City’s only loss in its last 12 games came at the hands of the Bengals in Week 13.

To get to this game, the Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes assisted in defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-20. Even with questions surrounding Patrick Mahomes ankle,  The Chiefs’ offense still boasts creativity and playmakers to churn out yards and put up points.  Even if both sides may have scored the same amount of points, the atmosphere of the games was very different. we felt secure in backing the Cincinnati for their Bengals vs. Chiefs prediction because the Bengals controlled the game from the opening kickoff.

Burrow and the Bengals have shown they are not scared of Kansas City, even if Mahomes were to play or not. In addition to winning both of their previous encounters, both took place at Arrowhead Stadium. Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd are a trio of receivers for Burrow who can trouble the Chiefs secondary.

In case that wasn’t enough, the Bengals rushed for 172 yards last week against the Bills, who had the league’s fifth-best running defense. Our Bengals vs. Chiefs prediction will be for Cincinnati to win the game easily despite the fact that the Chiefs’ finest player, Patrick Mahomes, won’t be fully fit.

Bengals vs. Chiefs Games over the last 12 months

In the regular season, the Bengals beat the Chiefs in Cincinnati in Week 13 by 27-24. A Bengals-Chiefs matchup brings a ton of intrigue with the Bengals 3-0 vs. the Chiefs over the last 12 months — that includes last year’s AFC title game and a 27-24 home win in Week 13 where Joe Burrow passed for 286 yards and two touchdowns in that game, including an 8-yard pass to Chris Evans with 8:54 left in the game to give the Bengals the win.

AFC Conference Championship odds

At least from a market standpoint, the matches in this season’s conference championships are not only competitive; they are also historically competitive. The point spreads for the AFC and NFC championship games are both smaller than a field goal due to how evenly matched the two teams are.

The Eagles, Bengals, Chiefs, and 49ers are the only four teams in the conference championships to have Super Bowl winning odds that are this close to each other, marking the first time in the N.F.L. betting markets’ history.
