France’s women’s soccer team continued their dominant run at the 2023 Women’s World Cup, defeating Morocco 4-0 in the Knock out round on Tuesday. France were in control from the start, and they scored three goals in the first half to put the game out of reach.
Eugenie Le Sommer scored twice for France, while Kadidiatou Diani and Kenza Dali also found the net. Morocco had a few chances to score, but they were unable to get past the French defense. Morocco became the lowest-ranked team (72) to play in the last 16.
It was Dianiโs fourth goal of the tournament after her hat trick in Franceโs 6-3 win over Panama in its final Group F match.
Le Sommer increased her all-time leading goal scoring record for France to 92, while the game marked the first time Les Bleues had scored four goals in a World Cup knockout game.

A must-see Australia vs France match in Brisbane
France looked impressive tonight, but they’ll need to be at their best on Saturday.
Australia thrashed Denmark yesterday, with Sam Kerr coming-off the bench.
In Brisbane, the Matildas will also play in front of a passionate audience.
Just before the World Cup began, the two teams played a friendly in Melbourne. Australia won 1-0 in the second half courtesy to a goal by Mary Fowler. But there will be a lot more at stake in Saturday’s gameโฆ
