Sweden have been the third-placed team in two of the past three World Cups and they’re back in the competition again after Spain knocked them out in the semi-finals last time out with 2-1 win! Olga Carmona scored a dramatic late winner (90th minute) to put Spain through to their first-ever World Cup final and Sweden have to fight for bronze.

Australia, co-hosts of the tournament, lost their semi-final match by 1-3 to England, after a dominant performance by England in Sydney. Matildas striker Sam Kerr scored an equalizing goal in the second half of the match, but the result was not enough.
