On Saturday afternoon, No. 15th seed Princeton easily defeated No. 7 seed Missouri, 78-63, to advance to the second round of the men’s NCAA tournament. While the Tigers cruised to an easy round of 32 victory, they used a big rebounding advantage and 12 made three-pointers. For the second time in a row, the No. 15th seed is making progress to the Sweet 16.
No. 1 Houston 81, No. 9 Auburn 64
Inspite of having a 10-point advantage at the break against Houston, Auburn still lost to Houston with a 17 point difference.
On Saturday night at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Houston’s top-seeded team defeated Auburn 81-64 thanks to Marcus Sasser’s 22 points and stifling defence in the second half. After falling behind by 10 points at the half, the Cougars (33-3) rallied back determined to win.

The Longhorns defeated Penn State 71-66 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time in 15 years thanks to Dylan Disu’s season-high 28 points on 14 of 20 shooting.
“We’ve never played against a big man with that type of touch,” Penn State’s Seth Lundy said. “I don’t remember him missing, not one floater. He would do it from 10 feet, 15 feet, 5 feet.”

On March 23, UCLA will play either No. 6-seed TCU (22-12) or No. 3-seed Gonzaga (29-5) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. In a second-round game on Sunday at 6:40 p.m. in Denver, Gonzaga will play TCU (PT).

In the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night in Birmingham, Alabama, Brandon Miller helped top-seeded Alabama defeat eighth-seeded Maryland 73-51 after having a bad game earlier in the day. Miller finished with 19 points and seven rebounds.
Alabama will play No. 5 seed San Diego State in the Sweet 16 of the South regional, which will be held the following week in Louisville, Kentucky
