The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner as March Madness 2023 is only a few days away. As the conference championships for college basketball around the nation draw to a close and 2023 Selection Sunday is finally here, with a new 68-team bracket set to be unveiled. Selection Sunday for March Madness 2023 season is on March 12, at 6 p.m. ET during selection shows, the 68-team fields for the men’s NCAA DI basketball tournaments will be announced. For the next three weeks, college basketball fans will be treated to Cinderella runs by small schools and bracket-busting buzzer-beaters.

The field and bracket for the men’s March Madness will be announced during the selection show at 6 p.m. ET on CBS. On the other hand, The field and bracket for women’s March Madness will be announced during the selection show at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Selection Sunday for 2023 March Madness this season is on Sunday, March 12. The 68-team fields for the men’s and women’s NCAA DI basketball tournaments will be released during selection shows after games have finished for the day.

The Selection Committees for Selection Sunday

Athletic directors and conference commissioners from Division I men’s and women’s athletics make up the twelve-member basketball selection committee, which has distinct committees for men’s and women’s championships. The committees are made up of three individuals chosen from the seven highest-ranked non-autonomy conferences and one representative from each of the five autonomy conferences. The other 20 conferences are used to choose the final four members. All contracts have a five-year term.
